Golden Globes Fashion Recap

The Social Network (my favorite film of 2010) and Glee (my favorite TV show at the moment) were big winners at the Golden Globe Awards last night.  Very few people care about the actual awards, so I'll just go straight to the reason why most of us watch these awards shows: the fashion show!

(WARNING:  This is picture heavy!)

The Honor Roll

My favorite look of the night, Catherine Zeta Jones in deep green Monique Lhuillier.  It looks even more amazing on tv, the details on the dress are amazing (and man, that thing must have weighed a ton!):

My second favorite look is this frothy Marchesa ball gown worn by Olivia Wilde.  Her Louboutin heels were also to-die-for, but those shoes need to be worn with a shorter dress!

With her statuesque frame, Anne Hathaway would look good in anything.  I love the simple (and quite modest) lines of this Armani Prive gown.  So chic!

Honorable Mentions

Emma Stone in Calvin Klein...I adore this salmon/light honeysuckle shade so much, it's such a standout.  I just wish she'd worn some accent jewelry to embellish the look a bit.

Another Monique Lhuillier, this time in blue on Mandy Moore.  I love frothy colorful gowns.  But Mandy should have tied her hair back!

I love this silhouette on Anne, I also love it on Angelina Jolie.  The slightly unkempt hair kept her from my honor roll.

The Horror Roll

Halle Berry wore lingerie, decided it was too short, and added a sheer skirt on top.  At least that's how this mess looked to me.

I cannot believe this is a Valentino on Michelle Williams.  It looks like some off-the-rack sundress.  She looks like a kid, and that's not a compliment.

This is so 80's, I can't even.  Jennifer Lopez, what happened to you?!?  That sheer thing on top looks so matronly.

In a class of her own

What is that protruding fang near her boob?  And that tulle overlay?  And the Bellatrix Lestrange hairdo?

And how can anyone miss those mismatched shoes?  Maybe Helena got dressed in the dark?

All I can say is:  Bjork would have been so proud.  Haha.

Next up:  The Grammys.  I cannot wait.

  4. Stephanie: It's a little less glamorous sa Grammys, so there's more potential for trainwrecks! LOL

Gladi: Pero mukha siyang kid, especially with those overly done cheeks. And the dress is blah!

Herroyalbleakness: Ganda no? Ang bigat siguro ng gown!
