Hey! Love your blog. Saw your fashion piece for Glee's Paltrow episode. This week's glee when they sing "sing it for the world" the girls are wearing ADORABLE booties and I cannot find them! Hoping for your help??
THANKS!
-Kerry C.Wow, thanks for the email. I am always flattered to hear from people who read this blog. :)
Anyway, I am in no way an expert on where to find the clothes seen on Glee (despite my numerous posts on that topic), but I'll try my best to answer your question.
First, a confession: I actually have not seen the last few episodes of Glee. Shocking, right? It's been that kind of a busy last month for me (it's always that way whenever I'm about to go on a long vacation!) However, I do know what scene you are referring to. The bad news is that I don't know the exact brand of booties the ladies are wearing here (sadly this is the best picture I could find):
The good news is that a little Googling led me to discover this:
Those are photos from the Gap's 2009 Holiday ad campaign. It seems that the Glee costume designers were "inspired" by the Gap ads...the similarities are too overwhelming to ignore: the red plaid, the jeans, and the heavy boots with red laces! It can't be a coincidence...right?
Anyway, the boots in the Gap ad are not actually from Gap, but from Barney's Co-Op, according to this article. I am not 100% sure that the Glee boots (the ones Quinn wears in the photo above) are also from Barney's (I need a clearer picture!), but it's awfully close:
Those boots are no longer available online, but at almost $400 a pair they weren't worth it (in my opinion) anyway. Here are some similar pairs which are just as cute and more affordable:
That's the Steve Madden Biing, which is still available on the Steve Madden website for less than $100. I actually like the wedge heel better, it looks more feminine. You can just add red laces to copy the Glee look.
Another Steve Madden boot, the Grannnie in brown (retails for $129.95):
And here's another alternative from Miz Mooz, available on Amazon (around $160.00):
I hope those options are helpful, Kerry! I'll update this post once I have found the exact brand of the Glee booties!

You were so close when you said Steve Madden! The yare, in fact Steve Madden booties, they've been identified on my blog:
