Kerchief Crazy

As I mentioned here, this kerchief printed top is my favorite Rachel Berry look in Glee Season One.  Two seasons later, and it's still my favorite Rachel Berry look ever.  I love the nautical, innocent school girl vibe of that top so much that I exhausted all means possible to find it!  Unfortunately, I never found the top, despite my best efforts.

A few weeks ago, while channel-surfing, I noticed the same top worn by Zooey Deschanel in New Girl:

Yep, I noticed even if it was covered by her hair and overalls.



And despite my aversion to Zooey and all things she does, not even her wearing that top could make me like it less.  I really do love the style.  (Random thought:  since New Girl and Glee are both Fox shows, it's possible that the New Girl costume-rs just recycled and gave Zooey the exact same shirt that Lea wore.  That's kind of....eeeww!)

I had long given up on ever finding that H&M shirt, but I've always been on the lookout for something similar.  Last Friday, I hit the jackpot!

It's my very own kerchief print shirt from Forever 21!  It's also blue-red-white, so the nautical theme is still there.  I literally squealed in excitement when I saw this that I didn't even bother to fit it and just went straight to the counter to pay for it.

Now that my initial excitement has waned, I just realized that the top reminds me of Sailor Moon a little bit:

LOL!  But I don't really care, I love the kerchief print top and I'm going to find a way to make it work!
